Come join our home! You will be renting a very large room in a classic Auckland bungalow, in a premium location near Point Chevalier centre. Spacious and light, this sweet double bedroom easily fits a kingsize bed and several items of furniture. It also boasts its own ceiling fan, air conditioning and functioning fireplace. The house you will be sharing with us has a sweet front yard with raised vege patches and a sheltered porch, a sunny back porch, a cute kitchen and brunch bar, and a cosy living room. The recently renovated bathroom is modern with great shower pressure. The hot water is on a gas powered califont, so we never run out! There is also a spare room here, that provides excellent storage space. We mostly each do our own thing, but we also socialise as it flows. We are not a party house, but guests and little get-togethers are frequent and welcome, within the normal bounds of respect for others' peace. Transport wise, it would be hard to find a better location. For motorists, we are 3-5 minutes drive from three major motorway interchanges, putting all of Auckland within easy reach. We are near one of the busiest bus corridors in town, and for cyclists there is the new bike lane right down Meola Road. We only lack a nearby train station, but the numerous buses easily make up for this. And it's a great place for pedestrians too, with bush and coastal walks, Western Springs (Te Wai Orea) park, the Zoo and MOTAT all a pleasant stroll away from our doorstep. The price we have posted is rent for a single person, but this room is also very suited to a couple. The price for a couple is $310 rent + $50 expenses = $360. Smoking in outside areas only. The move-in costs are 1st week's rent & expenses ($295 single / $360 couple) plus 4 weeks' rent-worth for bond ($1040 for both singles or couples). Minimum tenure is 4 months, with 4 weeks' notice required for departure.
