About the Opportunity Looking for a summer job that’s truly one of a kind? Join Moana New Zealand for a seasonal role on the stunning Chatham Islands, 750 km east of New Zealand’s South Island. Surrounded by pristine waters and a tight-knit community, this is your chance to experience remote island life while working with some of the world’s most sought-after kaimoana — including paua ( wild abalone), and blue cod. As one of the island’s largest employers, Moana is proud to sustainably harvest and process premium seafood while supporting local communities and protecting our marine environment. What You’ll Be Doing As a Process Worker, you’ll play a key role in our seafood operations by: • Processing premium kaimoana – grading, packing, and transporting fish, paua, and lobster • Maintaining high standards – following strict food safety and health & safety protocols • Working as a team – supporting your crew to ensure productivity, safety, and quality • Adapting to nature – being flexible with work hours based on tides and weather conditions What You’ll Bring We’re looking for people who are: • Reliable and hardworking, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail • Physically fit and healthy, ready for hands-on work in a fast-paced environment • Team players, who enjoy working with others and contributing to a positive team culture • Adventurous and adaptable, excited about living and working in a remote island setting • Passionate about seafood, and keen to learn processing skills Previous experience in seafood or processing is a bonus, but not essential — we value attitude and a willingness to learn above all.
