1:25,000 scale geological map of Mt. Karioi (New Zealand) based on the field work and cartography of Dr. Oliver E. McLeod (2024). Towering above the famous surf breaks of Raglan, Karioi is a 2.6 million year old stratovolcano with an unusual geologic record of eruptions sourced from the deep and shallow mantle. This map is the first detailed depiction of Karioi's stratigraphy and represents several thousand hours of field research and cartography. Stylistically, the map draws on both traditional and modern cartographic methods to yield a highly attractive, and scientifically detailed, account of the geology of Karioi. Offset printed on 95 gsm Ragmap cartographic paper. Dimensions 720x1080mm. Total print run: 500. Looks fantastic when framed (as many people have already done). Map comes rolled in a cardboard tube (not framed). Signed by author.
