Brass Scientific and Astronomical Instruments - a collection

This Collection of 15 pieces are replicas of notable scientific instruments that were used in the past to help us tell the time and navigate us towards our destination. They are made of brass or brass alloy and weigh collectively about 23kgs. I collected them through the 1980s and 1990s. The Maritime clock and Barometer both work. The Nocturnal only works for the Northern hemisphere star-scape. I have only used them as ornaments in my office so have had very little wear and tear. People who came into my room commented positively and were intrigued at the simplicity how these instruments overcame problems that beset the human mind.
