Ko te tuuranga mahi | About the role We are seeking an experienced General Manager to provide leadership and oversight of the Trust’s operations, ensuring financial sustainability, strategic growth, and cultural integrity. This pivotal role will deliver on the Trust’s strategic priorities, including business development, asset management, and relationship building, while upholding the values and aspirations of Ngaati Korokii Kahukura. Key responsibilities: * Lead development and delivery of strategic and business plans * Oversee operations, financial management, budgeting, and reporting * Manage iwi assets, ensuring compliance and best practice * Provide advice, risk assessments, and recommendations to Trustees * Mentor and manage kaimahi, including Finance and Administration staff * Build strong relationships with iwi, councils, funders, and partners * Ensure transparent communication and regular reporting to Trustees Ko ngaa wheako oou | About you You are a proven leader with strong business acumen and a passion for iwi development. You combine financial and operational expertise with cultural integrity and the ability to inspire others. Skills and experience: * Senior leadership or GM experience, ideally in business operations * Strong financial management, project leadership, and governance skills * Excellent relationship and stakeholder management capability * Strategic thinker who can balance vision with practical delivery * Experience in kaupapa Maaori environments and cultural sensitivity Qualifications: * Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience * Knowledge of iwi and marae structures is an advantage * Full New Zealand driver licence Why join us?
