ALL THAT JAZZ Oil on block canvas - A friend of mine suggested a jazz scene for me to paint seeing as her father had always been into jazz and had been to New Orleans to hear it played for real. I decided to paint the players in a smoky haze. I went to a jazz club once in Auckland, NZ, and loved the vibe, the darkness, the smokey atmosphere. Transporting me back to another time and place.
