**Civil Project Engineer** We're looking for an experienced **Civil Project Engineer** to join our team based in the **Waikato**. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will provide hands on management for specific operations, offering technical support to supervisors and driving successful project outcomes. In this role, you'll be responsible for assisting end-to-end planning, allocation of resources, and coordination of work for both internal and external clients. You'll play a key role in ensuring all targets are not just met, but exceeded-covering project delivery, technical input, safety, quality, budgets, scheduling, and overall project outcomes. **As a Civil Project Engineer, you will:** * Previous experience in a similar role, and ideally a relevant tertiary qualification (BE or NZDE) * Must be a New Zealand resident or citizen. * Take responsibility for forward planning, organising, ordering materials and subcontractors. * Competence in project management tools and software used for planning, scheduling, and monitoring construction activities. * Familiarity with local industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements. * Passion and commitment to safety in the workplace. * Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. * Hold a full class 1 driver's licence. Civil Materials Technician, Tauranga Our Laboratories are responsible for testing civil engineering materials such as aggregates, soils, concrete, and bituminous materials to support our clients’ manufacturing and construction activities. We are looking for a Civil Materials Laboratory Technician to join our Lab team in Tauranga. This role will involve a variety of projects working in the laboratory or out in the field. There will be the occasional night shift work. About you: - Previous experience in a civil engineering laboratory is advantageous, but not essential, full training will be provided. - If you do not have laboratory experience, we are open to speaking with applicants with previous experience in a labour / trades role, such as construction, roading, warehousing or farming. - A good level of fitness and strength, as this role involves a significant amount of physical activity, including lifting and carrying heavy material and equipment. - Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and following digital instructions. - Holds a current clean New Zealand driver’s license. - Excellent communication skills and a team player. - Willing to travel as and when required for work. You’ll be responsible for leading site-based teams, managing subcontractors, and ensuring everything runs on time, to budget, and to a high standard.
