Based in Oamaru, we’re a well-established business with a proud reputation for quality workmanship. We service and maintain a wide range of vehicles for both retail and commercial customers across the region. We have an opening for a Workshop Technician to join our team in Oamaru. Are you an experienced mechanic in need of a change? Are you wanting to step foot into a dealership with class leading brands? This role is for a qualified automotive technician who takes pride in their work and has excellent diagnostic skills. You’ll work on a variety of makes and models (with a focus on Mazda, Hyundai, and Isuzu), using the latest diagnostic equipment and technical resources. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out servicing, WOF, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards * Perform accurate diagnostics and fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems * Ensure all work is completed efficiently, to high quality and safety standards About You: * Qualified Automotive Technician (National Certificate in Automotive Engineering or equivalent) * Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally in a dealership or similar environment * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills * Current NZ driver’s licence (full) * Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude * Ideally WOF certified What We Offer: * Competitive remuneration based on experience * Ongoing factory training and career development opportunities * A well-equipped workshop with manufacturer-supplied tools and equipment * Supportive team culture with our Timaru branch as support If you’re an experienced technician looking for a change and want to work in a friendly, professional dealership environment – we’d love to hear from you.
