Sharpes Stock Feeds seeks a full-time General Mill Assistant to help with day-to-day duties in a family-owned animal stock feed manufacturing mill.

Sharpes Stock Feeds is a family-owned animal stock feed manufacturer. Our mill is centrally located between Masterton and Carterton, and we are on the lookout for a full-time General Mill Assistant to help our team with their day-to-day duties.
Assisting our team in a range of activities:
* Loading and unloading of bulk trucks
* Washing vehicles
* Refilling of raw material bins
* Assisting with the cleaning and sweeping inside and outside of the mill
* Learning all aspects of bagged dispatch
* Learning how to operate the automated bagging line
* Learning how to operate our small packaging line
* Assisting with general repairs and maintenance as directed
* Assisting with pest control and weed spraying
* Assisting with the upkeep of the mill grounds
* Repairing wooden pallets
We are looking for someone who must have the following attributes:
* Honest, reliable and shows initiative.
* Must be happy to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to be a team player with a can-do attitude.
* Positive attitude towards Health & Safety
* Forklift experience preferred although full training will be given
* Class 2/4 Licences would be beneficial or willing to work towards
* Must be energetic and physically fit as heavy lifting is required
* Happy to work in all kinds of environments and weather conditions
* Must have reliable transport, as we are situated in a rural location
