Summary: This role involves detailed cost estimation, bid proposal preparation, contract management, and understanding various tendering processes within the floor and wall tiling sector. Highlights: 1. Produce detailed cost estimations and manage assigned opportunities. 2. Oversee bid proposals, ensuring comprehensive and competitive estimates. 3. Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients and suppliers. • Produce detailed cost estimation for assigned projects, using company estimation and third-party software, and to take ownership of assigned opportunities until handover to project managers. • Take accurate measures from plans and understand details of our specialized trade. • Oversee the preparation of bid proposals and presentations, ensuring all estimates are comprehensive, competitive & within company policies. • An understanding of various tendering processes, such as fixed price, lump sum, cost plus, time and materials, etc. • Ability to review, negotiate, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. • An understanding of and preparing progress claims in accordance with contractual obligation. • Work is based on floor, and wall, tiling including but not limited to timber floors, carpet tiling, floor prep, waterproofing and related products. This position would suit a junior estimator, quantity surveyor, or possibly a tradesperson with an understanding of the requirements outlined above. Having contact of current industry tradesperson would also be beneficial for vinyl flooring and timber flooring. Salary will be negotiated depending on experience.
