This is a hands-on role where you'll be working with different types of metals, operating machinery, and helping to keep the yard running smoothly. **What you'll be doing:** * Operating machinery such as cable granulators, cable strippers, balers, and alligator shears * Sorting, grading, and processing metal ready for export * Carrying out general yard duties and manual handling * Performing pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery * Following all Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area * Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets **Requirements:** * At least 2 years of experience in a relevant industry * Forklift certificate preferred (not essential) * Full, clean driver's licence * Able to pass a Ministry of Justice check * Drug and alcohol-free (pre-employment and random testing apply) * Legally entitled to work in New Zealand **What's on offer:** * Steady, full-time work - minimum 40 hours per week * Monday to Friday with rostered Saturday mornings * Full training provided on all machinery and processes * Opportunity to gain extra skills and move into other areas of the yard * Join a well-established, NZ-owned company with 60+ years in the industry Apply now or contact Lee-Tara directly on 021 243 1568 to find out more.
