We provide a fantastic product that's matched by great facilities and passionate staff. We're looking for a Parts & Service Advisor to join our Kapiti Team. The role will revolve around our after sales operations and administration. It is unique in the sense that you will switch between our Parts Department and Service Department, as both are situated in the same area and work closely together on a daily basis. The Position: * Based in our Kapiti Branch * Booking all service and repair appointments * Seeing customers in and out of reception * Advising customers on their servicing requirements and costs involved * Responding to all customer questions and enquires in a timely manner and ensure the customer is well informed throughout the entire process * Daily sales and activities of the Porirua Parts department * Ordering parts required by customers and the Dealership in a timely and accurate manner * Preparation of quotes, purchase orders and other documentation required for buy-in products * Liaising with Workshop Technicians, the Parts Department and back of house management, to organise labour and parts required * Providing a great customer experience and being a role model for exceptional customer service at all times Requirements: * Knowledge and experience in the automotive industry (previous experience in an franchise dealership is an advantage) * Experience in a hospitality, retail or other customer-focused role is preferred * Computer systems savvy with the competency to use our online dealer management system * Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment * Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with excellent phone manner * Confidence in dealing with challenging customer concerns resulting in excellent outcomes for both the customer and the business * Clean and current restricted or full driver's license * As we are a 6 day a week business some weekend work will be required. The opportunity | He angitūtanga Do you enjoy helping people? As a Customer Engagement Representative, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to our community. As the first point of contact for our customers and clients, you’ll play a vital role in creating positive experiences across multiple channels — face-to-face, phone, email, and digital platforms. You’ll provide professional, efficient, and friendly service, helping the public navigate Council services and access the support they need. In this role, you will work collaboratively with your team and stakeholders ensuring tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently, working between our service centres and call centre. You will also perform all payment responsibilities and tasks for front counter transactions. Including all associated tasks of till balancing, banking, reports, filing, ensuring an appropriate audit trail is maintained. This role is fixed-term until 31 August 2026, covering for an employee seconded to another role within Council. About you | He kōrero mōu To excel in this role, you will bring strong knowledge of and experience in: Effective interpersonal skills, able to communicate clear and effectively with a proven customer centric ethic. Strong customer service experience, skilled at conflict management with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Ability to multitask, work under pressure and prioritise effectively while maintaining accuracy. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective professional working relationships with all key stakeholders, including with other council staff members based on a collaborative, collegial and cooperative working style. Effective time management skills and ability to work effectively without supervision and collaboratively as an effective team member. Demonstrated experience using a POS system as well as experience in processing payments, cash handling, Eftpos, receipting, reconciliation and banking. Experience in Microsoft office and comfortable in using digital tools and systems.
