Supportive team environment with plenty of autonomy Project Manager We are seeking a Project Manager to join our small team within the civil contracting and commercial construction industry in Nelson. This is a new position within the company to complement the Project Administrator and technical /operational staff. This is a varied role with approximately 50% site-based and 50% office-based work, ideal for someone who enjoys being on site as much as managing projects from the office. The role will suit someone who is fit, energetic, and highly motivated. About the role: • Managing projects from planning through to completion within the management team • Working closely with established customers and our competent operators • Regular on-site presence overseeing progress, quality, and safety • Office-based planning, coordination, and reporting • Opportunity to influence and develop project management processes What we’re looking for: • Fit, energetic, and ready to get involved • At least 2 years’ experience. • Would suit someone looking for the next step in the construction industry or an experienced Project Manager. • Strong communication and organisational skills • Practical, common-sense approach to problem solving • Strong knowledge of NZ construction contracts (e.g.NZS3910) • Ability to lead, motivate, and work well within a team environment • Clear and effective communicator, both verbal and written. • Strong focus on health and safety What we offer: • Competitive rates based on capability • Company vehicle • Supportive team environment • Varied work with plenty of autonomy • A drug free workplace If you’re keen to step into a Project Manager role within a small, capable team, we look forward to receiving your application.
