We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to lead our team in our chemical manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our production process, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This is a crucial leadership role for someone with a strong background in production management and a passion for continuous improvement. Responsibilities: • Production Oversight: Manage daily production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation to meet production targets and deadlines. • Safety and Compliance: Encourage a culture of safety. Ensure strict adherence to all OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) regulations, company policies, and quality control standards. • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train a team of production operators and supervisors. • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower operational costs. • Quality Control: Implement quality control processes to monitor product quality and resolve any non-conformance issues. • Maintenance Coordination: Work with the maintenance team/contractors to schedule preventative maintenance and address equipment issues to minimize downtime. • Inventory Management: Oversee raw material and finished product inventory levels to ensure smooth production flow. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role • Proven knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and safety protocols. • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as OSH, MPI, and ISO standards. • Experience in chemical manufacturing is an advantage.
