Seeking a Bookkeeper for a small law firm to manage internal accounts, handle financial duties, and provide office administration support.

We are a small law firm needing a bookkeeper to do internal accounts, and some office administration work.
This is a short-term role until 31 July 2026.
The primary duties are:
• Accounts receivable;
• Accounts payable;
• Prepare consultation letters and Invoices and take payments from new clients;
• Banking;
• Prepare contracts for new clients;
• Reconcile Bank Statements;
• Enter into MYOB any immigration fees raised;
• Do Debtors Ledger and Account Rendered;
• Debt collection;
• Client account statements;
• Bank reconciliation;
• Office supplies, utilities, consumables;
• Deal with clients on fees issues;
• Payroll;
• PAYE;
• GST;
• Provisional Tax;
• Terminal Tax;
• Deal with banks, IRD;
• Co-ordinate accounts with the outside accountant;
• Maintain staff issues
2. Other Tasks
• Typing, if needed;
• Data entry of client information;
• Data entry of new clients;
• Personal Assistant
3. General Duties:
• House keeping
Skills & Qualifications:
• Some experience in accounting or Bookkeeping
• Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB (Preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Working knowledge of New Zealand tax regulations and GST (preferred)
