




Nebulite Wellington is a successful aluminium joinery company based in the heart of Paraparaumu. Our company is a manufacturer of premium aluminium windows and doors, and we take pride in delivering superior solutions to our clients in the construction and architectural industries. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation, tendering, and financial control for our joinery projects, from feasibility through to completion. This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to provide accurate cost advice to support informed decision-making. Key responsibilities for this position are: • Work within V6 QS software and prepare accurate and timely cost estimates, tenders, and budgets for our joinery projects. • Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed bills of quantities. • Provide cost advice and commercial support to project managers and stakeholders. • Assess and value variations, claims, and assist when required with the final accounts. • Mentor junior staff and contribute to the professional development of the Estimator/ Admin Support team. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, industry trends, and relevant legislation. • Complete quoting in a timely manner using the V6 programme. • Continuously seek and obtain the best possible supplier pricing and keep systems up to date. • Set up and update jobs in our FSM database system with the help from the support team (training will be given). • Monitor project costs and conduct back costing of projects when required. To be successful in this role you: • Must have experience using the trade V6 quoting/ project software. • Have a minimum of 4+ years’ experience in quantity surveying and/or estimating, ideally in construction/ Aluminium Joinery. • Have a proven track record of delivering accurate cost management and estimation on complex projects. • Have some experience either on the tools/ work experience post-graduation or during, preferably in the aluminium joinery or a related field. (no required but beneficial). • Have solid time management with the ability to prioritise and organise multiple processes with attention to detail. • Be confident in communicating with stakeholders, both internal and external; and chasing key actions. • Have knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
