EQUIP Recruitment is seeking a skilled and reliable Door Technician to install, service and repair industrial, commercial and domestic doors throughout the Wellington region. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their workmanship and values a strong safety culture. What You'll Be Doing: * Installing, maintaining and repairing a range of door systems * Diagnosing mechanical or electrical faults and completing repairs * Carrying out scheduled maintenance and safety checks * Assisting with workshop fabrication and assembly * Participating in a call-out roster for emergency repairs * Maintaining accurate job records and following all H&S procedures What We're Looking For: * Full NZ Class 1 Driver's Licence - essential * Physically fit and comfortable working at heights * Mechanically minded with solid problem-solving skills * Experience in roller doors, auto doors or a similar trade - an advantage * Reliable, hardworking and a strong communicator * Site Safe, Height & Harness or similar training - beneficial * Welding, fabrication or electrical skills - a bonus What's On Offer: * $30-$35 per hour depending on experience * Overtime available + on-call allowance * All PPE provided and free health checks * Supportive team environment and ongoing training * Opportunity to grow and develop your trade skills All applicants must be currently in New Zealand and have valid working rights.
