Clear pathway to permanent employment and career growth We're looking for a skilled, reliable Drainlayer to join a busy civil crew working across Wellington. This is a long-term role with a clear pathway to permanent employment for the right person. Depending on your experience, you may also have opportunities to lead and support the team on site. Key responsibilities: * Getting hands-on with trenching and pipe laying * Trenching, spotting, and working safely around excavators * Reading drainage plans and ensuring work runs efficiently * Installing key infrastructure like stormwater, sewer, and water mains * Working alongside skilled tradespeople, subcontractors, and project managers What we can offer: * $30 - $45 per hour + PPE provided * Full time work, Monday to Friday * Variety of civil works and locations * Temp to perm pathway with well-established contractors * Career growth with training & development opportunities What we're looking for: * NZ Drainlayer qualification/certification * 2+ years of hands-on civil drainage experience * Full Class 1 Driver Licence (2, W, T, R endorsements a bonus) * Ability to read and interpret technical plans * Competent using drainage tools and machinery * Reliability, motivation, and a strong team mindset Keen to get started?
