ABOUT THE ROLE
We are after an energetic and enthusiastic person to join us as a Service Centre Operator in a permanent full time position based at our Rolleston Service Centre. This is a diverse role with a rural focus and you'll be enjoying a mix of hands-on work and customer service. You'll perform a range of activities, including:
* Processing customer orders & enquiries in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner
* Fixed plant operation
* Taking a proactive approach towards environmental, health and safety matters
* Loading and unloading spreader and bulk trucks
* Processing fertilizer orders and controlling stock
And you don't need to be an expert to start with us as full on-site training and all work-related protective equipment will be provided.
ABOUT YOU
You're a natural when dealing with customers, understanding what it means to give great service. You are a quick learner and keen to get stuck in and help your colleagues when required. You will also have:
* Some degree of fitness as there will be heavy lifting at times
* A valid full Class 1 driver’s license (minimum requirement). Loader and forklift license is desirable (W, F endorsement)
* Good communication skills with the ability to relate well to others and contribute to a positive team environment
* Proactive attitude to health, safety and environmental management - knowing what it means to get the team home safe
* Good computer skills are preferred although training is provided for our in-house systems
