Mitre 10 MEGA Palmerston North is looking for a dynamic Merchandise Manager to lead both inventory operations and merchandise planning. This is a key leadership role focused on range productivity, store and bay layout optimization, and maximizing customer experience, while driving profitability and sales growth through smart inventory and merchandising strategies. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: * Oversee stock replenishment to maintain optimal inventory levels and product availability. * Ensure stocktake integrity through accurate cycle counts and audits. * Manage pricing accuracy across all inventory to align with company standards and promotional strategies. * Monitor inventory levels to maximize availability while minimizing excess stock and waste. Merchandising & Range Productivity: * Develop and implement strategies to optimize product range and ensure high productivity across all categories. * Plan and execute store and bay layouts that enhance accessibility, visual appeal, and customer flow. * Collaborate with buying and sales teams to align inventory with customer demand, seasonal trends, and promotional campaigns. * Analyze sales and performance data to identify opportunities for improved profitability and range efficiency. * Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained to create an engaging shopping experience. Leadership & Compliance: * Lead and coach the inventory and merchandising team to deliver operational excellence. * Ensure compliance with Mitre 10 standards and systems.
