Seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a busy motorcycle service department, focusing on team leadership, customer relations, and operational efficiency.
Highlights:
1. Lead a busy workshop and drive results while maintaining customer experience
2. Support from a strong team of administrators and service staff

Cyclespot Group is New Zealand’s largest motorcycle dealership network, and we’re on the lookout for an experienced Service Manager to lead our new Taranaki service department.
• Competitive pay package
• Well-established dealership
• Brand-new refurbished store with a purpose-built service department
This is a hands-on leadership role, so we’re looking for someone who’s confident running a busy workshop, leading a team, and keeping everything moving smoothly. Experience in a similar role is important, ideally within a multi-franchise dealership environment.
What you will bring:
• Strong leadership skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Great communication skills and the ability to build solid relationships with customers, staff, and suppliers
• Good decision-making and organisational skills
• The ability to keep jobs flowing efficiently while maintaining high standards
• A solid understanding of margins, charge-out rates, and productivity
• A qualification in motorcycle mechanics or automotive engineering (a bonus, not essential)
You’ll suit this role if you’re organised, practical, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks. You’ll need to think on your feet, keep the team on track, and drive results while maintaining a great customer experience.
You’ll also have the support of a strong team of administrators, service/warranty staff, and advisors to help you succeed.
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the day-to-day running of the service department
• Supporting and working closely with technicians to drive performance and growth
• Handling customer queries and resolving any issues
• Building and maintaining customer relationships
• Keeping an eye on expenses, KPIs, and overall department performance
• Making sure health and safety standards are met
This is a full-time, permanent role with a great pay package for the right person.
