We're on the lookout for a Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing team in Hamilton, specialising in roofing and cladding products. This is a hands-on role with plenty of machine operation and crane work, perfect for someone who enjoys practical, physical work and takes pride in quality output.
About the Role:
You'll be responsible for operating a roll forming machine, which creates grooves in iron coils to produce roofing and cladding sheets. A big part of the role involves safely moving coils using an overhead gantry crane, monitoring production quality, and recording data accurately.
What You'll Be Doing
* Operating roll forming machinery
* Using an overhead gantry crane to load coils onto machines
* Producing roofing and cladding sheets to specification
* Quality control checks and recording production data
* Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment
What We're Looking For
* 2+ years machine operating experience preferred
* Experience in roofing, cladding, extrusion, or similar manufacturing environments is an advantage
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
* Overhead crane (gantry) ticket preferred, or willingness to gain
* Confident and safety-focused when operating cranes
* Full NZ Driver's Licence
* Good attention to detail and comfortable recording quality/production data
