About Us: Precision Machine Technology (PMT) is New Zealand’s newest dedicated provider of CNC machinery, laser systems and advanced manufacturing technology. With strong investment, national growth plans and a rapidly increasing customer base, we are building a high-performing team to support our expanding operations across the country. We are now seeking a customer-focused, mechanically skilled After Sales Support Technician to join our team and support the continued growth and professionalism of PMT. The Role: This is a hands-on technical role that combines mechanical work, customer support, installation, servicing and sales support. The After Sales Support Technician ensures that customers receive exceptional service after their purchase and that PMT’s reputation for support, reliability and technical capability is upheld nationwide. The role requires someone who is adaptable, solution-focused, confident with customers and comfortable travelling when required, sometimes at short notice. Full product training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support & Service Delivery: • Provide high-quality technical assistance, troubleshooting and post-sale support • Install, commission, service and repair machinery and equipment • Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnose technical issues accurately • Ensure all service activities and reports are completed with accuracy and detail Customer Service & Relationship Management: • Deliver a professional, friendly and solutions-driven customer experience • Communicate clearly when explaining issues, solutions and training requirements • Support customers in understanding the operation and care of their machinery • Represent PMT with professionalism at all customer sites Sales Support & Growth: • Present and promote products and services to existing and prospective clients • Support the PMT sales process and ensure key information is captured accurately • Assist with onboarding and strategy development for new clients • Maintain CRM records and contribute to monthly reporting and performance metrics Operational Support & Continuous Improvement: • Assist with process development to strengthen PMT’s after-sales systems • Work across other areas of the business when required • Ensure work is completed within timeframes and budget requirements Health & Safety: • Comply with HSWA 2015 and all PMT health and safety procedures • Report and address hazards, incidents and near misses promptly • Participate in meetings, investigations and training as required About You (What You Bring): Essential: • Experience in an after-sales support, service or technical role • Strong mechanical ability and confident hands-on problem-solving • Basic understanding of electrical systems and components. • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) • Professional work ethic, strong personal presentation and reliability • Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines • Full, clean NZ driver’s licence • Flexible to travel nationwide at short notice • Willingness to learn new equipment and adapt to changing technical requirements Desirable: • Ability to work under pressure and think laterally • Intermediate computer skills • Ability to measure or design customer-specific solutions • Strong technical diagnostic skills • Experience in sales or customer-facing technical support roles Why Join PMT? • Be part of a high-growth national technology provider • Varied, hands-on work with industry-leading machinery • Receive full training and development opportunities • Work within a supportive, professional and forward-thinking team • Play a key role in shaping PMT’s nationwide after-sales capability Apply Now: If you’re mechanically skilled, customer-focused and want to be part of a growing, dynamic organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
