We are seeking an experienced and highly reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join a seasonal weed harvesting operation on Lake Horowhenua, starting mid January for approximately six weeks. This is a hands-on role combining driving, loading, and operational responsibility in a unique environmental project. The Role You will be responsible for transporting harvested aquatic weed from Lake Horowhenua to the designated dumping site in Feilding. This includes self-loading the truck and trailer using a New Holland T6070 tractor with grab bucket, making tractor experience highly desirable. Key Responsibilities * Operate a Class 5 truck and trailer unit safely and efficiently * Load weed material using a tractor and grab attachment * Transport loads from the lake to the Feilding dumping site * Accurately record weighbridge data on entry and exit * Complete daily pre-start checks and comply with all safety procedures * Assist with other ground-based operations if weather impacts harvesting Hours & Roster * 7-day operation, working a minimum of 5 days per week (weather dependent) * Option to work a 6th day depending on volume collected * Average annual harvest: ~400 tonnes * 8am - 4:30pm  What We're Looking For * Full Class 5 licence with proven experience * Tractor operating experience (preferred) * Strong reliability and work ethic - this is essential * Comfortable working outdoors and in variable weather conditions * Professional and respectful attitude when working with stakeholders * Ability to pass a MOJ and drug test  How to Apply: Please note that during the holidays, our team will be operating with minimal staff.
