Building relationships with key industry players HydroVac South Island is seeking a full time Operations Manager based in Christchurch, who wants to be part of a small Management Team driving operational and service excellence. An understanding of the Waste, Drainage or Civil industry would be beneficial as would a history of working with trucks or plant and machinery. A desire to bring structure, clarity and leadership to a busy team of technicians is a must! Competitive Salary incl company vehicle, phone, laptop etc. Responsibilities for the role are • Managing operational staff and contractors • Responding to customer leads and preparing proposals and quotes • Liaising with customers and resolving their questions to gain a sale • Managing/Scheduling programmed maintenance • Building relationships with the key players in the industry • Advising company managers to assist the strategic direction of the business • Keeping up to date and trained in the latest rules/regulations • Maintaining and supplying financial and other data for the accounting system incl. invoicing • Ensure the company is compliant and up to date with Health & Safety and setting the example for all staff regarding safe work habits What we need from you: • Management Experience in an operational setting is required • High command of written and verbal English language • Fluent with MS Office and internet based software packages • Experience in a service based environment • Experience despatching work to technicians or trucks is desirable • Able to work within a team and on your own • Self Motivated and structured/organised by nature, this is a busy role • Email your CV through in the first instance, otherwise post as per below.
