Parts of the day are double staffed (with some flexibility required to allow for outings). Keegan is an accomplished sing-songwriter who is actively involved in music, outings and socialising within his local community. He has a range of high complex needs; he has his own separate living area in the main house and requires support of a team 24/7.
The Role
We are looking for someone to join an existing team, working 24-30 hours a week, over a 7 day week period (24/7). Parts of the day are double staffed (with some flexibility required to allow for outings). This position also includes night shifts, which are paid at our undisturbed rate.
Be prepared for something new and unique as you will be given the opportunity to use your creative skills to contribute to an intentional community.
Duties:
- Personal care and experience with mobility equipment (hoists, wheelchairs etc...)
- Emotional Support
- Assisting with recreational and vocational activities
- Meal preparation
- Maintaining a tidy and clean environment
- Assisting with medication
- Working independently yet effectively in a self-managed team

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible Permanent Reliever to provide cover in various residential homes. You will need to be able to adapt quickly to different care environments, working in various homes based on ConneXu’s rostering requirements.

The role may include but is not limited to:
• Supporting our disabled partners to develop new hobbies, skills, and interests.
• Helping with household tasks, such as gardening, cleaning, and meal preparation

• Administering medication and providing support to and from appointments
• Maintain accurate records of the care provided, including daily notes and any incident reports.

The Programme Assistant role is an activity and support based role providing day programmes, social outings, and pastoral care to support our clients to live and participate in their community. The Kauri Centre sits under the umbrella of Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW), is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu and have services and programmes in Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti, and Hawke’s Bay.
