We are recruiting for Event Security Guards across a wide range of functions to support with the V8 Supercars event running Friday 17th to Sunday 19th April, with additional guarding shifts available during the event week. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an event that is a South Island first, and you will be part of a professional security team delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees. You must be a confident and clear communicator and be comfortable standing and moving for long periods of time. Event Details Main Event Dates: Friday 17th - Sunday 19th April Additional shifts: Available throughout the week leading up to the event - day and night shifts. Shift Lengths: 7-12 hours per day Primary Event Shift Times: 0700-1800 What We're Looking For * Hold a Blue or Green Certificate of Approval (COA) * Previous event security experience preferred * Hospitality or retail experience welcomed * Confident communicator with a professional presentation * Ability to remain calm and customer-focused in high-energy environments Minimum Requirements * 18 years or older * Clean, full Class 1 driver's licence * Flexible availability across event dates * Strong customer service and communication skills * NZ or Australian citizen, or hold a valid NZ Work Visa What's On Offer * To be part of an event that is a first for the South Island * Exciting and fast paced environment * Excellent training and on-site support * Ongoing welfare checks and strong Health & Safety culture * Potential for ongoing work Ongoing Casual Opportunities There may be opportunities for further casual work with FIRST Security following the event.
