* Living wage employer * Plenty of flexible hours available (work around your other commitments) * Hands on role setting up and packing down events across our full venue portfolio About the Role - One New Zealand Stadium is less than a year away from opening and we're entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation. Venues Otautahi is excited to be accepting applications for Venue Set Up Crew to join our casual staffing pool. Venue Set Up Crew provide a range of back of house and front of house services to ensure the successful delivery of events across each of our venues. You'll be right in the thick of it at times, from concerts, to conferences, gala dinners, and large sporting events - and everything in between. No two days are the same, one day you could be setting up tables and chairs for a gala dinner, the next you might be laying a sports floor or staging a space for a major conference or expo. It's hands on, physical work that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to adapt quickly in a busy, ever-changing environment. While most of your work is behind the scenes setting up spaces to perfection, there will be times when you're the face of the venue or event, interacting with clients or guests, so professionalism and a friendly approach are key. The logistics of operating multiple venues can be challenging and fast-paced work so we're looking for punctual, team players who can think on their feet and get stuck in. About Us Venues Otautahi attract and host a wide range of events in Christchurch and manage a diverse and iconic portfolio of community venues, including the Christchurch Town Hall, Wolfbrook Arena, Apollo Projects Stadium, Hagley Oval, the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, and One New Zealand Stadium. The events held across the Venues Otautahi portfolio deliver significant social, cultural, and economic benefit to the region and ultimately these iconic city venues play a valued role to the Christchurch way of life and the economic prosperity and social wellbeing of the region. About You The Venue Set Up Crew, like all roles at Venues Otautahi, is a hands-on role. This role will suit those who are physically fit, has great attention to detail and is comfortable with manually handling. You will be a self-starter and no doubt be keen to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in! Ideal candidates will have: * Ability to work?a mixture of early mornings, evenings, and weekends * Ability to be flexible and able to get to/from our various venues * A good level of fitness as the role involves physical, hands-on work including lifting, moving, and setting up equipment.
