Drainlayers – Southern Lakes Projects
About the Role
We’re looking for Drainlayers of all levels – from ticketed professionals to skilled labourers keen to break into the trade. With projects across Queenstown, Cromwell, and Wanaka, this is a rare opportunity to work in one of the most stunning regions in the country, delivering critical 3 waters and civil infrastructure work.
Whether you’re experienced in deep drainage or just getting started, we have roles that match your skill set and career goals.
Key Tasks
- Installation of stormwater, wastewater, and potable water services
- Working in trenches, backfilling, and pipe bedding
- Operating small plant and assisting machine operators
- Reading plans and setting levels (for experienced candidates)
- Supporting foremen and tradesmen on high-spec civil builds
What We’re Looking For
- Certified or registered drainlayers
- Apprentice or labourers keen to grow in the industry
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work in all conditions
- Experience on civil infrastructure or subdivision projects preferred
- Class 1 licence minimum (WTR or Class 2 a bonus)
