Supportive team environment and strong site culture Civil Carpenters – Fixed Term Contracts 18 months | Porirua Tradestaff Wellington is seeking experienced Civil Carpenters to join a major infrastructure project in Porirua. This is a long-term opportunity working on a significant civil construction project that is expected to run for 18 months or longer. If you're an experienced civil carpenter who takes pride in delivering quality work and enjoys being part of large-scale projects, we'd like to hear from you. About the Role As a Civil Carpenter, you will play a key role in the construction of critical infrastructure works. Duties will include: - Construction and installation of formwork for concrete structures - Building and dismantling boxing systems - Reading and interpreting plans and specifications - Concrete preparation, placement, and finishing support - Installation of civil structures including retaining walls, foundations, culverts, and other infrastructure components - Assisting with reinforcing steel placement and concrete pours - Working closely with engineers, supervisors, and site teams to ensure project milestones are achieved - Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and workmanship on site What We're Looking For - Proven experience as a Civil Carpenter within infrastructure or civil construction projects - Strong formwork and concrete construction experience - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings - Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious attitude - Current Site Safe preferred - Own transport and ability to get to site daily - Ability to work effectively as part of a team What's on Offer - Fixed Term Contract for the duration of the project - 18+ months of consistent work - Excellent hourly rates - Opportunity to showcase your skills on a landmark infrastructure project - Good hours with the potential for overtime - Work with a respected contractor on a large-scale civil project - Supportive team environment and strong site culture This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work and be part of a project that will leave a lasting impact on the Porirua region.
