Due to diversification within our team we are on the hunt for a farm manager. Wilson contracting is a diverse operation including Transport, Earth moving, agricultural contracting and farming based 15 mins from Invercargill. We own and operate approx 350 ha of cut & carry, Dairy and heifer grazing land. Grazing approx 250 R1 calves and Winter approx 700 dairy cows on Fodder beet, swedes and Kale. Winter is your time to shine where you will manage the daily operations involved in the wintering of animals. Experience in the transition of animals especially onto Fodder beet would be an advantage but training and support would be provided. Outside of winter, the management of all associated jobs involved in the running of a farming business would be your responsibility ie fencing, spraying, shifting of young stock etc. There would be a requirement for you to assist with operating machinery etc in our contracting and transport business during the busy times where the farming is less demanding so any experience in these fields would be advantageous as would the appropriate licenses but not essential.
