Regular hours (Tuesday to Saturday), paid weekly On the job training and endorsements paid for Team discount on commencement About the Role We are looking for our next Outdoor Timber Specialist (Sales/Yardperson) to join our team, based at our Retail Store at25 Wallacetown-Lorneville Highway, Invercargill. You'll greet customers with a smile and 'can do' attitude, talk to them either in person or over the phone, finding out their product needs to ensure they get the best value option for their project. We work as part of a team here so being in the yard putting orders together, unloading/loading vehicles, using the forklift and putting product away will also be required. Standard hours of work are 45.5 hours per week workedTuesday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Skills and Experience While a background in either customer service, sales, yard work, or farming may be an advantage, as full training will be provided, it is more important that you are able to demonstrate: Self-motivation and reliability Honesty, integrity and a commitment to deliver what you promise A friendly, energetic and positive personality Physical fitness appropriate for lifting timber/posts with a commitment to safe work practices A willingness to be trained and learn new skills You will need a full driver's licence (or the ability to get soon) as you will be required to drive our vehicles and get your F licence endorsement once trained. Daily you will be responsible for - * Assisting our customers within our timber yard & Drive Thru department * Loading of goods on to customer vehicles * Processing customer orders and transactions * Picking orders for delivery when needed * Monitoring inventory, cycle counts * Assisting as directed to ensure an efficient warehouse is maintained * Operating a Forklift This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week. Working Monday- Friday with rostered (Saturdays 8am -12) About you: You will play a lead role in ensuring our loyal customers are giving the upmost care and service.
