About the opportunity We are seeking expressions of intertest for fixed term Forklift Operators to join our Whareroa Distribution Centre. When our products are ready to ship, we are supported by our team of professional forklift drivers across our New Zealand Distribution Centers. With safety, customer service and quality at the forefront, their role is crucial in ensuring that we keep our dairy products moving around New Zealand and the world. They are a highly motivated and well organized team who know the importance of getting the right products to the right place at the right time. Driving modern forklifts, with ultramodern technology supporting them and working across a variety of shift rosters, key responsibilities are: - Loading and unloading pallets to ensure they are stored correctly - Picking/packing and sending products to the correct location efficiently and accurately - Effective fleet management - Stock quality management About you We are looking for professional forklift operators to join our team. You will need to be passionate about what you do, and you will be future focused on making a positive contribution to our business every day. We’ll offer you a varied role, where no two days are the same but there are some things that you will need for us to consider you: - An F endorsed forklift license and current OSH Certificate - A minimum 6-month forklift experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre environment - Computer knowledge, SAP experience is desirable - Extensive experience working in a fast paced environment - Flexibility to work rostered shift work – both nights and days - A good dose of physical strength as our products can weigh up to 25kg Are you excited about this opportunity but may only meet some requirements? We have an opportunity here at our Kapuni Manufacturing site that is a fantastic way to really get to know the business and to catapult your Ballance career. We aren't going to sugarcoat it...our Distribution Operators work hard! We supply Nitrogen based fertiliser to help farmers feed the country and this can bring with it a challenging work environment. A typical day will include: • Processing customer orders and inquiries - checking accuracy and fixing up any anomalies • Loader and forklift operation including maintenance • Fixed plant operation including bagging fertiliser • Ensuring the site operates safely with regular maintenance checks • Interacting with customers and colleagues and having a laugh!
