Matangi Prime Meat LTD is looking to employ a Customer Service/Logistics Co-ordinator to help run our busy business selling Premium Grass Fed Angus Beef and Lamb which is born, raised, and finished on our properties in the Tuki Tuki Valley, Hawkes Bay. We are a boutique family owned business and recent winner of the 2025 Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards. We are very passionate about our land, our animals, and ultimately the product we are producing. Our business is growing and evolving quickly, so we would ideally like to employ someone who is flexible, fit and self-motivated, who would be interested in growing with us. A background in business with experience in customer service, logistics or sales would be helpful, but not essential. The hours of work are negotiable. For the right candidate, we would be willing to also negotiate a flexible working arrangement, whereby you would work from the butchery for part of the week, and the remainder of the working hours could be completed from home. Tasks & Responsibilities • Approximately 20 hours/week, starting as soon as possible. • Days of work predominantly Monday-Thursday (Thursday in particular could be done from home). • Overseeing weekly dispatch of trade and retail orders from our Hastings site. • Preparation of manifests and liaison with Courier & Freight companies to ensure successful overnight delivery of our perishable product. • Using Shopify and Microsoft Excel to compile cutlists for our Butchery team. • Helping to process online retail orders on dispatch days. • Processing payments as needed. • Liaising with online retail clients via email and telephone. • Helping make deliveries to various locations within Hawkes Bay (Use of company car will be provided.) • For the right candidate, this role could be extended to helping us further grow our online sales. Qualities • Proficient IT and administration skills. Familiarity with Office 365, in particular, Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook and Excel is a must. • Familiarity with online platforms such as Stripe, Shopify or CRM systems would be beneficial but it not essential. • A high level of attention to detail. • Excellent written and communication skills. • Be reliable, hardworking and client focused. • Energetic, proactive and have great time management skills. • Clean driver’s license is required.
