Contribute to strong stakeholder relationships and Zero Harm culture **Te kōwhiringa | The opportunity** We have exciting opportunities for experienced **Line Mechanics, including those with G&B**, to join our Energy & Utilities team in Matamata on a full-time permanent basis. In this role, you'll provide quality service and workmanship across the construction, maintenance, and fault diagnosis/rectification of electricity distribution network equipment and installations. You'll work both independently and as part of a crew, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with required standards and regulations. You'll also contribute to strong stakeholder relationships and play an active role in maintaining a Zero Harm culture across all work activities. **Mōu Koe | About you** * **G&B qualification highly desirable** * Relevant **Line Mechanic EWRB registration** with a current practising licence * **NZQA Distribution Level 4** qualification * Current **Class 1 manual driver's licence** * **Current Class 2 licence** * Sound knowledge of the **Safety Manual - Electricity Industry (SMEI)** and safe LV work practices * Experience in electricity distribution construction, maintenance and/or fault response * Clear verbal and written communication skills (including WMS and JSEAs) * Applicants must be eligible to undergo pre-employment medical and MOJ checks **Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation** Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
