Connect deeply and make a lasting impact in a community valuing excellence We're on the hunt for an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to step into a pivotal leadership role as **Unit Coordinator** for the **Hospital Unit** at **Hilda Ross Retirement Village in Hamilton East, Hamilton.** This is a **part-time** position working with some degree of flexibility in start times: **Sunday 0800-1630****Monday 0800-1630****Tuesday 0900-1300** As the Hospital Unit Coordinator, you'll lead with purpose and make a real difference by: - Inspiring and coaching your team to deliver care that's always "good enough for mum and dad." - Fostering a positive culture that ensures a safe, supportive, and enjoyable workplace. - Overseeing personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of every resident in the Hospital Unit. - Building meaningful connections with residents' families/whānau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards. - Driving excellence in interRAI assessments and supporting your nursing team in their growth. - Going the extra mile to support residents, families, and your team, including occasional flexibility with hours for key events or needs. - Engaging with your team on all shifts to build strong relationships and ensure everyone feels supported. - Communicating clearly and collaboratively to foster trust and respect within your team. - Contributing as a key member of a united leadership team, working closely with your Clinical Manager and Village Manager. - This role offers a rewarding opportunity to lead with heart, connect deeply, and make a lasting impact in a community that values excellence in care. **About You** To thrive in our supportive and caring environment you will have: - A current APC (annual practising certificate) - interRAI training or willingness to gain competency - Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader - The ability to lead, share knowledge and motivate your team - Kindness, compassion, and drive, to deliver exceptional care to our residents - Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators as per a roster coordinated by the Village Manager **** **About Ryman** At Ryman, we believe the measure of a full life is one that gets richer with age.
