The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a respected civil construction company operating throughout the Manawatū region. This is a hands-on leadership role running a mix of land development subdivisions and wider civil infrastructure projects. You'll have the support of an experienced team and access to modern plant, equipment and systems.
What You'll Do
Take ownership of day-to-day site operations on subdivision and civil projects
Lead, supervise and coordinate site crews and subcontractors
Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications (earthworks, drainage, roading, utilities)
Plan and schedule works to meet project timelines and budgets
Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and statutory requirements
Liaise with clients, engineers, local authorities and suppliers
Monitor costs, materials and resources; report progress to management
Maintain accurate site records and quality control checks
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor (or similar) in civil construction and/or land development
Strong technical knowledge of drainage systems, earthworks, roading and utilities
Familiarity with health, safety & environmental regulations
Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret engineering plans and enforce specifications
Full NZ driver's licence; heavy vehicle or equipment experience an advantage
