Build a career in a growing industry * Modern dairy manufacturing environment * Supportive team with training provided * Stable, full-time role with career growth opportunities Position: Production Operator - Canning Location: Pokeno, Waikato Type: Full-time / Permanent Pay Range: $28 - 32 per hour Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. The Company: Our client is a well-established dairy manufacturer operating a modern production facility in Pokeno. They produce high-quality nutritional powder products for domestic and export markets and are recognised for their strong commitment to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The facility operates 24/7, requiring flexibility and availability to work both day and night shifts on a "four days on, four days off" roster, alternating day and night shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure stable, long-term employment close to home, avoiding the commute to larger centres while building a career in a growing industry right in the Waikato region. You'll be joining a supportive team environment where training is provided, and internal development is encouraged. Key Responsibilities: As a Production Operator - Canning, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Operating canning plant equipment to meet production targets and required specifications * Following all quality, food safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures * Completing production documentation accurately and on time * Taking product samples as required * Following cleaning procedures before and after production runs * Communicating effectively with management and team members across shifts * Operating a forklift to supply raw materials or other duties where required * Assisting with routine and shutdown maintenance as directed To be successful in this role, you will need: * Flexibility and ability to work both day and night shifts on four days on, four days off roster alternating day and night shifts. * Compulsory secondary education or qualification at/above NZQF level 1 * One year of relevant work experience in manufacturing or food processing (preferred) * Forklift licence (preferred) * Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow procedures accurately * Basic computer literacy * Willingness to learn and develop within dairy or nutritional processing * Ability to work shift work and overtime * Complete a pre-employment drug & alcohol test on request * Provide an up-to-date criminal record check on request If you are a motivated and reliable Production Operator ready to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you.
