With a full pipeline of upcoming work, we’re expanding our team and looking for a skilled Drainlayer Foreman who can lead from the front, support their crew, and keep our projects running smoothly.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Drainlayer Foreman to lead a crew delivering drainage installations across a variety of civil projects. This is a hands-on role that combines site leadership with practical drainage work. You’ll coordinate day-to-day site operations, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and contribute to a positive, high-performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a crew on stormwater and wastewater drainage installations
* Coordinate daily site activities and workflow
* Ensure work is completed to specification and safety standards
* Support and guide team members on site
* Communicate with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
* Assist with plant operation and on-the-tools work as needed
* Maintain site paperwork and participate in toolbox/pre-start meetings
* Promote a positive and productive work environment
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven drainlaying experience, including stormwater and wastewater systems
* Experience leading or supervising teams on civil sites
* Skilled in pipe laying (PVC, PE, concrete) and trench shield work
* Ability to read plans and manage daily tasks
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Confident managing workflows and site coordination
* Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements preferred)
* Commitment to health and safety and maintaining a compliant worksite
* Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
