We’re on the hunt for motivated Trades Assistants to join busy engineering and industrial teams across Hamilton, Te Rapa, and Frankton. If you’ve got a strong work ethic, enjoy hands-on work, and want to build a career in the trades — we want to hear from you. There’s also the opportunity to travel around the North Island for project work and gain experience on a variety of sites. Location: Hamilton, Te Rapa, Frankton Start date: ASAP Pay rate: $26–$28 per hour depending on experience + weekly pay What you’ll be doing: - Assisting engineering teams and skilled tradespeople - Supporting workshop and site operations - Carrying out hands-on labouring and trades assistant duties - Using tools and equipment safely - Helping keep work areas clean, organised, and running smoothly What we’re looking for: - Pre-trade course completed is ideal - At least 1 year of work experience - Strong work ethic and reliable attitude - Someone not afraid of hard physical work - Good communication and teamwork skills - Contactable references - Positive attitude and someone who can have a laugh with the crew - Forklift licence is a bonus What’s in it for you? - Weekly pay - Great team culture and supportive crews - Opportunity to travel around New Zealand for work - Opportunity to build experience in engineering and industrial environments - Variety of work and hands-on learning opportunities - Potential for ongoing work Why work with Tradestaff?
