AGP operates out of a custom-built world-class facility in Cambridge, just 15 minutes from Hamilton, providing Insulated Glass Units to its client base. AGP is part of the wider APL Group, the market leader of window and doors systems in New Zealand.
The Warehouse supervisor will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring efficient processes and maximizing warehouse productivity. The warehouse supervisor will be responsible for supervising warehouse employees, coordinating logistical processes and ensuring the quality of goods and preparing relevant documentation. Required hours for this position are 9:30am until 6:30pm Monday to Friday.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
Organise and allocate work to Inward Goods and Dispatch personnel and supervise and direct all activities within their spheres of operations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the customers’ orders are fulfilled on time
Ensure all paperwork is up to date, e.g. Site deliveries are correct, monitoring for date changes and late orders
Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental responsibility at all times
Organise and allocate work to ensure production plans and customer deadlines are met
Supervise day to day operations within your area of responsibility
Drive process improvements to lift efficiency, quality, and consistency
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and on time order delivery
Qualifications and/or experience required:
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and management
• Minimum of two years of experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.
• Proven ability to coach and develop individuals within a high paced manufacturing environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Have a respectful and humble persona constantly working to hire, retain and develop the right talent.
• Ability to work effectively and communicate across multiple levels and departments.
Previous supervisory or leadership experience is beneficial but not essential. What matters most is your ability to lead people, build trust, and create a high performing team environment.
