Supportive environment with full site induction and SOP training * Monday to Friday shifts available with potential for overtime * Long-term role for the right person * Potential career progression and good training About the Role We are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our team at our plant based in Levin. We are looking for a Forklift Operator to join our production team where you will be responsible for operating the forklift moving a variety of products and materials around the site. Therefore you must be a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to be successful in this role. This role does require some heavy lifting so it is required that you are physically fit. You will attend a full site induction as well as full training on SOPs and you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels - this is encouraged. The hours of work initially will be Monday to Friday 04:00AM - 02:30PM however once you are fully trained you will move to later starts. The exact times are yet to be confirmed but it may be similar to 10:00AM - 06:00PM. The main duties include: * Loading and unloading trucks * Managing stock in the production area * Mixing materials and assisting with lifting of bags * Operating forklifts safely around the factory * All scrap is monitored and minimised where possible * Keeping the production area clean, tidy and in order * Strive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvement Skills & Requirements * Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding * Must have a valid OSH forklift certificate * Must be experienced in operating forklifts (ideally in a production environment) * Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work * No criminal history * Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems * Must be a team player * Able to pass a pre-employment drug test * Thorough with good attention to detail * Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting How to Apply Click 'APPLY' or contact Meg Williams if you have any questions that are not covered in this job ad.
