Job Title: Production Kitchen Packing Team Supervisor Location: Rangiora Hours: Full-Time, Sunday to Thursday Pay Rate: $28+ per hour (depending on experience) About Us: We are a fast-paced, growing production kitchen specializing in ready-made meals, which we dispatch across New Zealand. In addition to this, we also handle contract cooking for various companies, providing high-quality, tailored food production. We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Kitchen Packing Team Supervisor to lead our packing team and ensure all operations run efficiently, meeting the requirements for both our ready-made meals and contract cooking services. Job Description: As the Production Kitchen Packing Team Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and leading our packing team in the preparation of ready-made meals for delivery across New Zealand, as well as fulfilling contract cooking orders. You will ensure that all packing activities are carried out on time, meet food safety and quality standards, and align with specific client needs. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage a team of packing staff to ensure efficient, timely completion of tasks. Oversee the packing of ready-made meals and contract cooking orders, ensuring all requirements are met and orders are dispatched on schedule. Monitor production schedules with our Chefs and address any delays or issues that arise in the packing process. Collaborate with production, logistics, and other teams to ensure smooth coordination across all operations. Maintain accurate records of packing activities and inventory levels of materials. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality control processes at all times. Train, support, and motivate team members to maintain high performance and productivity. Manage the cleanliness and organization of the packing area, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace. What We’re Looking For: Experience in a kitchen, food production, or packing environment (preferably with leadership or supervisory experience). Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions. A proactive problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of food safety regulations, food production processes, and packing standards. Flexible, with a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
