We are looking for a part-time Support Worker in Gisborne to provide support for rangitahi and tamariki and the family, fostering their self-determination and empowering them to lead a valued life on their own terms. The hours for this role will start at five to 10 hours per week with the opportunity to increase these hours over time. What does a Support Worker do? - He aha te mahi a te kaimahi tautoko? As a Support Worker, your primary role is to facilitate the family's journey toward a valued life of their choosing. You will actively engage with them in a hands-on capacity and collaborate closely with them. Your tasks will encompass a range of activities including grocery shopping, meal planning, preparation and cooking, laundry, light cleaning, and household support. As a Support Worker, your goal is to provide assistance so they are able to maintain their active participation in daily living, both at home and in the community.
