JOB OUTLINE LeaderBrand Gisborne is looking for a reliable, skilled, and motivated Machine Operator to run a brand-new, carbon robotics Laser Weeder. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the field, helping us grow fresh produce more efficiently and sustainably. ABOUT THE ROLE You’ll be the sole operator of our new carbon robotics Laser Weeder machine - designed to improve crop health and reduce chemical use. This role requires someone who knows their way around tractors and machinery, is detail-focused, and is keen to understand how the machine works inside and out. Key Responsibilities: • Operate and maintain the Laser Weeder. • Monitor machine performance and field results, making adjustments as needed. • Carry out regular checks and basic servicing. • Work closely with the growing team to support crop health and weed control. • Keep accurate operational records. • Follow safety procedures and company protocols.
