Otokorau Station is a 20,000 stock unit sheep and beef property located 50km inland from Gisborne towards Matawai. The farm owner is looking to take a step back and is seeking a capable, motivated Farm Manager to take on the day-to-day running of the property. We welcome both experienced managers and those ready to take the next step in their farming career. Support and guidance will be available from the owner to help you succeed in the role. The Role Includes: Stock management – organising and implementing animal health plans, feeding and rotational grazing plans Regular stock tallies to monitor performance and inform decision-making Staff management – leading and developing a small team Infrastructure maintenance – ensuring fences, water systems, yards, and other farm assets are well maintained Daily operations – overseeing all aspects of the farm’s smooth and efficient running You Will Bring: Strong livestock skills and practical farming knowledge Proven leadership ability (or potential to lead with support) Good communication, planning, and problem-solving skills A commitment to safety, animal welfare, and farm productivity If you’re ready to take management of a well-run property and enjoy living in a great rural community, we’d love to hear from you.
