Butterfly Preschool has an exciting opportunity for a qualified / registered ECE teacher, to join our wonderful teaching team. If you want to work in a small, privately owned centre with excellent ratio’s and a very experienced team then this is the centre for you. Our philosophy is based on kindness and respect and we are proud of the wonderful community we have established and the relationships we have with our whānau. Our team works collaboratively to ensure the best possible learning outcomes for our tamariki. We are looking for a passionate dedicated teacher to join our preschool whānau. Our hours of operation are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and the successful applicant will work approximately 35 hours per week. We offer full pay parity, paid teacher registration and first aid, two-week closure over the Christmas break and a one-week closure mid-year. Teachers receive one afternoon a week off for non-contact along with the continual opportunity for professional growth. We have a wonderful environment where our teachers are respected and looked after. We are seeking a kind, nurturing, energetic super star to join our team, the successful applicant will have the following attributes: • A sound knowledge of Te Whāriki, individual learning plans and programme planning. • Good understanding of curriculum, planning and assessment. • Have an understanding of ECE regulations and compliance. • Demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi • Be a team player. • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. • Innovative and able to use initiative. • Ability to inspire and motivate children.
