Spanning 9,695 ha of effective area, the station combines productive pasture and extensive tussock country to support a robust breeding and finishing enterprise. We winter over 56,000 stock units – including 27,000 Romney ewes, 8,000 hoggets, and 1,800 Angus breeding cows and heifers. The operation finishes the majority of cattle progeny and approximately half of the lamb crop on farm. Thornicroft’s location offers a wealth of recreational opportunities, including hunting and fishing with the lake front on the property. **About You** You’ll bring a strong set of stock handling skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and a team-focused attitude. This role is well-suited to someone with a few years of shepherding experience who’s ready to take on more responsibility and grow within Pāmu.
