We are seeking skilled Geotechnical / Geohazard Rope Technicians who take pride in safe, high-quality work and want to be part of long-term infrastructure projects that genuinely make a difference. About the Role: As a Geohazard Rope Technician, you will play a key role in delivering safe, high quality stabilisation and drilling operations. Your work will support the protection and resilience of critical infrastructure throughout Northland. You will be involved in: * Rope-access drilling and soil nailing operations * Mesh installation, shotcrete application and grout production * Slope stabilisation and geohazard mitigation activities * Interpreting drawings and following site instructions * Maintaining high safety standards and contributing to continuous improvement * Working in remote outdoor environments and travelling to various project sites This is hands-on, technical work suited to someone who enjoys physical challenges, problem solving and working as part of a tightknit team. About You: We're looking for someone who brings a strong mix of experience, attitude and capability: * Experience in geotechnical drilling, slope stabilisation or rope-access construction * IRATA Level 1 or higher (or equivalent rope-access competency) is highly desirable * Comfortable working at heights and in steep, remote environments * Physically fit, safety focused and committed to high quality workmanship * Able to read and follow site drawings and technical instructions * A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset * Willingness to travel to project sites across Northland and occasionally wider NZ Technicians with 5-10 years' experience in geohazard or ground engineering environments are strongly encouraged to apply.
