Korero mo te turanga - About the role Working as part of a team of specialists, you'll provide support to our payroll applications, including testing and maintaining system upgrades, supporting future enhancements, processing periodic reporting as well as regular testing, SQL reporting and queries. You'll also keep on top of legislation changes, utilising available tools within our pay system (Ascender Pay) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills are a must in this role as you have key links with Finance and the wider business for various reporting internally and externally including reports to Stats NZ, and other Government departments. Mou - About youYou'll have a passion for systems, numbers and of course the mechanics of payroll systems. You'll combine this with either prior experience in either a similar role or a finance or systems BA role. Words used to describe you include naturally inquisitive, an easy communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels, a self-starter who works well both autonomously and as part of a team. You'll couple all of this with: * SQL and strong Excel knowledge (including pivot tables, look ups, graphs etc) * Analytical background and experience * Attention to detail * Experience developing, implementing and applying quality assurance methods to functional and technical specifications He Aha Te Pai - What you'll love about us!
